Newborn sessions are always held at your home. Your baby should be photographed as early as possible to achieve the sleepy, curly photographs you see in my galleries. The optimal age for a newborn session is within the first two weeks. Please contact me before giving birth to book your session. If your baby has already arrived, please email or call now.
There is nothing more beautiful and pure than a brand new life. After a few weeks, this newness begins to fade and change quickly. Having your baby photographed as early as possible will ensure you remember this incredible time in you and your child's life forever. Newborns are my favorite subject to photograph...it would be an honor to document the beginning of a lifetime of love with you & your new baby.
At what age should my newborn be photographed?
Once a baby is born, they quickly begin to grow and change. The optimal age for newborn portraits is within the first 2.5 weeks of life. Around 7 days old is Emily's preference.
What is included with a newborn Session with Emily?
The $175 session fee includes:
a 2.5-4 hour session in the comfort of your home
the hand crafting and editing of 30-45 final proofs
a private password protected proofing gallery online for one week from which you place your order
a Maternity Session can be added for $100
When and Where are newborn sessions held?
Newborn session are held 7 days a week. Any newborn session that requires more than 40 miles travel will usually be held Monday - Friday. They typically last 2.5-4 hours. All newborn sessions are held at your home.
I always work on newborn time. If it is time for a feeding, I will gladly wait. My goal is capture the most gorgeous images of your child and that means waiting is sometimes neccessary...and worth it!
When should I book my newborn session?
You should book as soon as possible. Contact me in your second or third trimester. A very limited amount of newborn sessions are available each month.
If you have not booked your newborn session prior to giving birth, contact me and I will try my best to schedule a session for you as timely as possible
Do I need to supply anything?
I bring plenty of props, including blankets and knit hats. I can also use personal items if you wish. Please have your items ready when I arrive so we can discuss how best to integrate them into your session.

The hand crafting of 20-40 proofs to order from in an private online gallery.
Travel up to 100 miles round trip to session location. Contact Emily E. for your travel quote.
Prints & products are purchased separately. Print pricing starts at $40 for 5x7. Full pricing available at request.
Up to four subjects are included. Additional subjects are $25 each. Large group & mulitple family session pricing available.
The session fee is due in full to reserve your session. All major credit cards & checks are accepted.
Most families plan to invest $500 to $2000 in each session with Emily E.
Boutique items such as image files with print release, custom birth announcements, session albums, canvas gallery wraps etc are also available.
